Fried Fish Tacos

  • Image 1

Try this recipe for your next family get-together!  It is sure to please!   (We have also done this by sautéing the fish on the stove, and by using fried lobster bites.  So get creative!)

1lb. fish fillets (you can use any type of fish)

1 broccoli salad kit (the brand we use is Eat Smart- from Publix)

1 medium size red onion sliced and sautéed

Panko breadcrumbs

Flour tortillas

Spicy Mayo:

Sriracha sauce

Garlic powder

1. Prepare the Sriracha aioli by mixing mayonnaise and Sriracha sauce and a pinch of garlic powder to taste.  Refrigerate until you are ready to use it.

2. Heat the fryer to 350°F.

3. Prepare the egg wash by mixing two eggs and a splash of milk.

4. Cut the fish in to bit size pieces.  Dip the fish pieces into the egg wash and then coat in Panko breadcrumbs.

5. Fry a handful at a time until golden brown (about 6 minutes).

6.  While frying, prepare the broccoli slaw by mixing the contents of the broccoli salad package.

7.  Sauté the onions in a frying pan.

8.  Heat the tortillas for 20 seconds in the microwave.

9.  When everything is finished, prepare the tacos by spreading some spicy mayo onto the tortilla.  Add some broccoli slaw, fish, and onions.
